I told my psych I am so happy to have her and so grateful for her help she always makes me feel better. I saw her today
At first I was dismayed. Clozapine causes me to pee my pants a little overnight sometimes, and my psych said it’s side effect. She said 75% of people it gets better though. Said to wear poise pads overnight and split up my clozapine dose more.
plus gave me stronger anti-drooling drops.
I was so discouraged, thought I’d have to ditch clozapine. It’s working the best.
Forgot to ask about the day treatment. Might have to call about that.
My pdoc told me today that I might have to go on Clozapine. I’m scared but I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried everything. I’m a treatment resistant sza and I don’t know what to do. I know, leave it up to my doctor.
I peed my pants once on invega. I was staying at my Dads house so didn’t have extra clothes so I just threw my pants in the dryer and drove home the next morning
@SkinnyMe Nothing helped me for years until I started taking 2 APs at once, plus an antidepressant.
I take 20 mg of olanzapine, 1 mg of risperidone, and 20 mg of Celexa every night. It has been a god send. I’m still recorded and followed but I’m calm enough to go do a part time job now. I’m working 5 days a week and if I can succeed I’ll try for full time.
I don’t know if you’ve tried that before but if you haven’t it’s worth trying. If you have but it didn’t help I guess clozapine probably is the best option.
@LilyoftheValley I’m so glad that Clozaril is working for you. I’m afraid that it won’t for me and then I’ll be plum out of options. That’s what I’ve always been afraid of.
I’d like to try psychotherapy again too but I’m afraid the therapist will end up hating me again, like they always do.
I’m also afraid that all these AP’s (three total), are making my sza worse and worse, not better. I need to get off of a lot of this stuff.
@LilyoftheValley I’m sorry for not responding to your post appropriately, I’ll try again. In answer to your question, yes, I’ve been taking three antipsychotics at once for many years. They are Risperdal, Geodon and Seroquel. I also take Celexa and Topomax.
