Got my USB chord today to connect amp directly to computer. No more going through a mic. I think it sounds much clearer now. What do you think?
It sounds really good. I like it.
Sounds good bow wowan!
Thanks @LilyoftheValley and @Jinx . The playing of the song is a little faster than it should be but it was mostly just to test sound quality of amp with direct connection. I think it’s much clearer than it was with mic.
Sounds nice and warm, good tone @Bowens !
I recently discovered the enjoyment of watching a pro guitarist in concert. Joe Bonomasa and Jeff Beck and Xuefei Yang are all on YouTube. They are wizards. A guitar is a toy in their hands.
Sounds good! Are we in the Christmas spirit today?

very nice…need to work on rhythm.
Nice, clean and accurate
Yes. I can play it more according to the tempo of the actual song , but I’m more likely to make mistakes if I slow down. It would probably help if it were a song that I know well, outside of playing instead of just a song I know mostly from playing and have to go by indicators of pauses in notation. Speed and tempo are things I need to work on.
good…I didn’t want to offend you…I speak truth when helping a beginner…if you don’t help them see what they are doing wrong they won’t learn.
yeah, it’s all good. My instructor informs me on every song that I play too fast. I am aware of it. I learn the notes first before working on speed and pauses to full effect. Been playing that song for 2 weeks. Plan on perfecting it.
@Bowens I can hear the improvement in fingering the notes. Sounds great.
Thanks @anon10627598 . Yes, making progress. I’m going to have a real problem with notes on 4th finger/pinky though. I don’t have the reach. Don’t know how I’m going to overcome this issue.
Just realized you’re Michigan. Good to see you on. Hello.
Have you tried finger picks. Yeah it’s me Michigan. I was ready for something new. The pinky is the hardest. Do you got a squishy ball that you could use to “toughen” up those digits? That was what the teacher that I had me do long long ago.
yeah, probably not a bad Idea. I’m also trying finger stretching on strings as well. I had ulnar neuritis in that hand/arm from a manufacturing job in my 20’s, so I’m not sure how much I want to push exertive repetition in that hand. It hasnt bothered me for awhile but it could come back.
Never heard of it, what is it?
" What is ulnar neuritis? Ulnar neuritis, or cubital tunnel syndrome, is inflammation of the ulnar nerve in the arm that results in numbness or weakness in the hand . The ulnar nerve is more commonly thought of as the “funny bone” and gives feeling to the little finger and half of the ring finger."
