Got my distortion pedal. Listen to the difference?

I played the song snippet once without distortion pedal on and once with it on. It’s a short clip. I think it makes a pretty significant difference.

Almost forget, I said I’d tag @anon10627598 when I posted something with new pedal.

It sounds a bit louder but not muddy like i thought it would be. Maybe it is different with single notes vs like power chords or something

I only have one pedal, an octave pedal, its pretty cool, i want one of those whammy pedals i think its called that this bass player mono neon uses

Im in the process of setting up my pedalboard. Im trying to make some extra money to buy pedals with. They are so expensive! I had a Boss Me 80 i got off face book for 100 bucks but sold it because i wanted to set up a pedalboard instead.

Too me, without the pedal it sounds more “ding ding dingy” and with it, it seems to have a bit more of a “squeal” to it. But maybe that has something to do with volume as well.

It spunds like the volume swells. Is that your only pedal? Distortion is good but you also hear the squeaks a lot more distinctly

Yes, its my only pedal. Yeah, it definitely increases the volume when I turn it on. I could always adjust volume on guitar to account for that though.

I’m gonna try it with distortion up all the way but volume down…see what it sounds liek

I used to have trouble with that when i played in a band. I was lead guitarist and when i turned overdrive on it would get super loud. Its tricky to find the balance between volume and crunch

I like it.

One thing that helped me improve my banjo playing is to follow through with the notes. Not sure if I was hearing 1/8 notes or if you were in a hurry.

Just a friendly share of my experience with a string instrument.

Will share my banjo playing soon.

Mania is how i ended up with guitars

It takes a lot of patience to learn guitar!

@Bowens

That is why you are struggling with that C chord and other transitions. Go slow for practice.

I tried a rhythm. I tried to go slooow

What helps me @Bowens is just to practice chord changes without engaging the picking hand. Well, helps me anyways.

I do need to slow down and pay attention to half and whole notes and whatnot more, but I think the C and G7 chord problems are physical things. I need to be able to get the finger stretch and hand/finger strength issues fixed over time. I can sometimes get C but G7 is nearly impossible for me at the current time. It’s just too much of a stretch.
