I have to constantly try to slow down and take a break from my thoughts because they get too overwhelming most of the day but worst at night.

All the time. I try to do things which turn on autopilot, so I’m not actively focused on any one train of thought. But when I do this, my mind fills with other people’s thoughts instead. It’s a nice break tbh.

Took 2 days off work, and have the weekend

Was completely overwhelmed, depressed and had racing thoughts etc

Feel a bit more settled now, so fingers crossed I can get this current project over the line in the next couple of weeks

I don’t get racing thoughts.

My voices get louder and more persistent,

But I don’t get what the majority of you describe as “racing thoughts”.

A lot of people experience it,

I imagine it’s horrible.

I constantly have racing thoughts that give me anxiety.

I’d lie down and try to put myself into a hypnotic state to calm me down through self talk.

Not since meds…Lived my whole life to 29 with racing thoughts. Very tiring. Meds sorted that out better than pot.

the people that are drawn to pot, typically don’t know it, but it’s a self medicating device that can and will bring on onset, schizoprhenia.

this is the hardest thing about mental illness, drugs and alcohol.

I’ve been tempted to buy illegal drugs just to calm my mind down. I wouldn’t know where to get them tho. I’ve always been against street drugs tho

I accidentally said yes, but changed it to only sometimes lol.
I definitely got a bit weirded out during the study. The first two weeks of washout from my old meds were hell.
I could tell right away the med they gave me for the rest of the study wasn’t the placebo. Calmed me down significantly even after the first dose.
