Quiting smoking

Recently hubby and I decided to start smoking outside. I think it has cut my smoking in half

Was doing well yesterday and then I started playing some magic the gathering. Ended up smoking quite a bit because they said I could smoke inside. Played my turn and smoked while I waited.

Yep, been there went and saw a vet buddy of mine and I smoked like 3 of his cigarettes…my gf caught me and got pissed…oops.

del79 its easier thaN YOU THINK YOU CAN DO IT!.

I’ve quit for 48 days now. Once you make up your mind to quit, that is half the battle. Keep some nicorette gum on hand. If you quit cold turkey you get a wicked headache but it takes a few days before that happens and won’t go away for two weeks, so cut back using the gum. I use the nicorette quick mist.I found it absorbed the fastest. If you need any help just ask, there are lots of people here to help you out. Keep reminding yourself how gross it tastes.

Hi Barbie–When I lived in CA for 2 years, I had to smoke outside. Hardly anyone smokes out there! I liked that my clothes etc…didnt smell. Ive been back in KY ( smoking capital of the world! ) for 5 years now and still smoke outside–in all weather! Really does cut your smoking in half!**

Don’t quit bryan.

People would tell a world war soldier he shouldn’t smoke at this point.

I’ve been on meds for some time now bryan and i can say with certainty they will make you very sick over time, you have schizophrenia, you are on drugs for a long long time, it will decay and whither and if you want a cigarette then you can have one.

Im not saying to smoke three packs a day or anything. But if you want one every now and then just do yourself a favor and have one. When you are given a fighting chance then sure you should quit but knowing what i do now my advice would be to just have a few if you wish, it won’t make any difference in the world, not in the long run it won’t.

It’s all black and white down here, one or the other, but not in the way we thought at first. In your situation just have some if you wish, these people are liars and self serving basstards normally and they would tell anyone in any situation at all not to smoke ever!

If you are schizophrenic then more likely than not you will whither, even if you didn’t need meds like mr. nash has done it still wouldn’t make any difference, his life was hell and so is ours. Just have one if you want, we aren’t risking or throwing anything away at all.

I consider quality of life, what amount of health you start with, what will happen anyway after so long, every single sign points to “just have one if you want” in our situation because it just doesn’t matter sometimes.

I’m a nicotine addict in recovery. I’m a puff away from four packs a day.

Damn dude you must smoke constantly.

I haven’t smoked for greater than 3 months. Today, I spit up phlegm twice. I’m not saying I should heal up faster or even that I should heal at all. The whole health thing is an adventure to me at this point to see where it takes me.

Smoking is death on the installment plan. I guess we have a President who smokes. He also raised taxes on tobacco!

Took your advice and I have started today. Signed up for a 10 week program and so far with a patch and gum, I haven’t needed a cigarette, Been about 16 hours since my last one so fingers crossed.

Hey, Neveragain. Lol I’m taking the nicorette quick mist. I might alternate between that and regular breath spray to trick myself. When I am done I will be massively addicted to breath spray. Haha.

Keep in mind how much money you’ll save and how much better you will feel.

I have felt like that before stopping smoking. I kept trying until I succeeded and now I’m on day 25. Don’t give up!
