Cannot believe how many I quit this year. Going part time has not helped. I’m losing focus half way through the day. It is really starting to frustrate me I can’t hold a job. I think it might be time to try another med.
Why did you quit?
It is frustrating how blank my mind goes. When I say I can’t focus I literally cannot focus. It seems an easy task to another person but if I’m not thinking I’ll just sit there not doing anything also so tired all the time
Have you considered Geodon?
Not available here unfortunately but yes.
Focus can be trained thru practice and working thru the distraction. It may just be that you’re not used to working and you need to get used to it. I wouldn’t have quit over that.
It’s easy said. But I can’t concentrate. I’ve had so many jobs now. This never used to be a prob.
Usually they prescribe Ritalin for that
Talk it through with psychiatrist or mental health nurse
Maybe you need to choose a simpler job? That’s what I did and now I work in a bakery…
I used to have this problem too. I dunno if it was the medication I was on or the illness itself, but I understand. You can’t do it. It just doesn’t work. I would ask about another medication.
It is OK not to have a job.
It is OK.
But it can cause psychosis for us and create new symptoms. My psychiatrist said that! So no for me.
You’re pretty good at quitting jobs. Maybe you should get a job quitting jobs.
i’m in the same boat, would like to think a change of meds will help too.
also very frustrated, even without a job, i wanna let my psychosis out and be free!!!
It should be my title
It was simple. Basically copy paste. Was fine in the morning, ended up unable to think in the afternoon.
I’ve been at my current job for almost three years now. I never thought this was possible, but it is! I’ve had countless jobs (25+), but found one that suits me well: very little direct supervision, smoke breaks every two hours, and good pay. Keep at it… I know symptoms surface-- take extra breaks and don’t be too hard on yourself. G’luck!
It sounds to me like you’ve got commitment issues, ish, in both relationships and jobs. I don’t know what to tell you to do about it. Keep looking, and hopefully you’ll find the right job and the right relationship. I’ve always had commitment issues too. Now I’m 58 with nothing to show for my life. Never had a family. Never had kids. If you’re okay with that outcome you have nothing to worry about, but if you want those things you need to overcome your fear of commitment.
