As someone not lacking in sense of humor, have you always been funny?!
Me and nick were talking yesterday and we both said we were funny as youths but then sz came and we lost our sense of humor. But thanks to recovery (and sobriety) we have both gained it back. What’s your timeline of humor? @Patrick
I gain my sense of humor back more and more each day I’m sober. 36 days now I reckon.
Drugs or sz neither have taken my laugh…dark humor helps ask pixel lol
That’s good! My pdoc told me in our first visit “you have a dark sense of humor” but I wasn’t as funny as I thought I was when I was drinking

My only 2 bullets against this beast of an affliction were my music and my humour.
The darker I got with Sz, the more lame jokes I told and the more music I wrote. My defense mechanisms I suppose.
Interesting…My personally I attribute my loss of humor from grade school until recently to my “dis-attachment with reality”. Hard to be funny when you have no clue what the ■■■■ is going on anywhere.
But in my case, I felt I had become a world-wide spectacle. So I used this platform to bombard the planet with my silly sense of humour. I’d walk around the Hospital wearing hand-written shirts and hats with jokes I had made up.
I stopped doing that when I realized there was no way the doctors were going to let me out as long as I kept doing that.
Was it you or Nomad who would post the ‘budump tss’ after some of Daze’s jokes…those were hilarious!
I think it was Nomad who commented on some topic, saying, “this thread needs an injection in the butt.” I was still laughing at that weeks later.
