Question about after being on meds. Help please

After being on meds, do u realize the delusions weren’t real? For example my son believes I’m putting drugs in the food. After getting stable on medicine will he know that wasn’t true?

Yes after getting stable on meds, he should realize they were just delusions.
This happened to me.

I was seriously delusional as well. I was believing crazy things that don’t even make any sense but once the medication stabilized me all the delusions went away and it has stayed that way. Been stable for almost 11 months now.

Possible, but not necessary if I had a suspicion I was being drugged then I’d want to find out for sure drugs wouldn’t be able to ‘cloud my mind to the extent of changing my legitimate suspicions’ … maybe they would help with voices, visions that suggest that I’m being ‘drugged’ but if I had a legitimate suspicion then maybe not maybe frank talk and establishment of deeper level of trust would be needed

For me it’s yes. I taste the bug spray in my food and drinks but I know it’s not real and it’s a really hard delusion to get over

Yeah. For me they never fully went away but it was just like…I don’t know I was more in reality? Like I still got the beliefs but I was then able to easily say they were delusions and I could push them away in my head. Versus losing insight and getting totally sucked into them and my every spare thought being about them.
