I have BTec level 3 business and admin diploma what about u
Zippo. Nada. I went to university for 3 years studying engineering but failed to get my degree. Which is still a sore point to this very day !
You’re like me. I went to school for 4.5 years and didn’t graduate (I was behind and took extra classes and stuff) but ya, I’m glad I have zero debt. I only have a high school diploma, which I barely got. I wasn’t motivated back then. I went to an average high school and did poorly. I blame myself, but my parents were probably to blame too. I got addicted to video games and stuff. It took 10 years to get over not graduating. I don’t think I’ll ever go back. I don’t know how people do it. I’m not super human and schizophrenia severely limits me. My step-father works a part time job and runs a small business and is 70 years old, and has a family, and cooks, and stuff. He sleeps like 4-6 hours a day. I don’t know or understand how it’s humanly possible. I’m just so freaking lazy and tired.
I still like math and computer science and stuff, but just don’t have time nor energy and I’m not efficient in life. I waste so much time doing nothing and just relaxing and trying to stay sane.
Yeah, it really stings.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in two majors for History and Sociology.
My grade was a 2:1 in the UK, which translated from the percentage mets a GPA of 3.67
Not too bad seeing as I was pretty ill and had no high school qualifications!
The way I got in was doing an Adult Learning course called Access to Higher Education, and I got a merit which was enough to study at the local county University
I did first year of management degree and got free laptop
I have some Community College classes and some Business College classes. I don’t think they would be able to be combined and used towards a degree, but I’m not sure. It really doesn’t matter, I have no intention of going back to work toward a degree anyway.
I have an associate degree in graphic design from a community College which basically is worthless lol
I have a Masters in Economics (pre-psychosis) and Bachelor in Health Sciences (post-psychosis).
That is impressive. Studying after the psychosis is really hard.
I never went to uni. The constant worry about how I would cope with the independent living/non academic side of uni really did a number on me. There was no help for people like me back then. I had a brief go at a correspondence course in 1976. That was the last time I tried anything academic. Memories of severe bullying have stayed my hand re being in a classroom setting.
I don’t even have any A levels, as my 1st psych admission was a week into what should’ve been my A level term.
I’m both pleased and a tad envious that things are significantly better for the current generation of teenagers who are like I was.
I have a college diploma in graphic design.
I have dual Masters in Inebriology and Intoxicology
I had to drop out of University because I developed schizophrenia. I was studying for a BSc in Biology.
After dropping out and being heavily heavily medicated I felt like I couldn’t go back to school but CompTIA allows you to write your computer certification tests without taking any courses for a few hundred dollars. So I wrote some tests and passed and became a certified computer technician.
I have my CompTIA A+ certification, Linux+ certification and Systems Support Specialist certification
I have a degree in kinesiology, wanted to do extra year master in physiotherapy but I needed to redo 2-3 courses to improve my grades so I didn’t, I had A’s in physiology, pathophysiogy, human anatomy and human biomechanics. I sucked in exercise prescription course and lab got C and a B in emergency care lab.
I did 1 semester presz and 5 semesters while I was on Abilify.
