Psych ward

I’m thinking about going into the psych ward. I don’t know if I should or not. Should I?

What is the reason you think you might need to go?

What are you struggling with? :rabbit::rabbit::rabbit:

Struggling mentally. I’m thinking everybody is in on some plot against me.

I go on tik tok, fb and here. It seems like you are all targeting me. Almost like everything is fake just for me.

Kinda like solipsism from what I understand.

How do you feel targeted when no one has tagged you or mentioned you?

Like every post is about me.

They won’t take me inpatient unless I’m suicidal. I don’t want to lie.

Well, part of you seems to be aware that it isn’t true. That, at least, seems like a good sign to me.

I actually feel like I should be institutionalized.

The reason is because I do so well in hospitals. I don’t think I’m made for the outside world.

Here in Arkansas USA I haven’t had a problem getting into the psych ward at Baptist Hospital, but they didn’t have any beds available at the State Hospital when I was court ordered psychiatric treatment. The State Hospital took me to Baptist. The only problem with going to the hospital is paying for it after you are discharged. I had to file bankruptcy with a $40,000.00 bill.

Maybe stop looking on the internet then. Theyll prob just inject you with drugs and throw you in a room anyways if you went, with no internet or contact with anyone.

I don’t know what to say to that. I hope you can function on the outside some day.

Are you taking your meds? :lion::lion::lion:

I’ve had the exact same thoughts, feelings, and delusions of self reference. Specifically in my third year of having the disorder, between when I was worst off and when I got mostly better. I know it might seem like you feel you need to be locked away but things can improve to where that’s the furthest thing from your mind. You just have to give it time. If you are feeling these feelings strongly enough to disrupt your daily life, you might want to think about going into the hospital.

I went every 3 or 4 months that year and it was never the wrong decision. The food is great, you might make a friend or two, and they’ll be able to adjust your meds while you’re under observation. All you give up is the ability to use your smartphone/computer throughout the day… but you have that to look forward to when you get out; stays at hospitals usually aren’t that long.

I get the 150 Haldol injection every month.

I’ve come to the conclusion to just tough it out. There probably is some plot against me so what good would it do to go to hospital.

I had the same experience when I was psychotic.

It was really scary.

I hope those feelings pass soon.
