So school will be over for me in a week. I currently am off work Tuesday-Thursday. Having three days off in a row how am I supposed to fill those days now without school? What should a good day off look like? I don’t want to sit around doing nothing. How do you all fill your time so you don’t feel useless?
I make a list of things to do. Put stuff on that needs to be done like errands and phone calls, doctors appointments. Maybe now is a good time to clean your house if it needs it. Schedule in a trip to the park to take a walk or to just sit on a bench and enjoy being outdoors. Maybe go grocery shopping or clothes shopping for necessities. Also, schedule time to take a nap. Any pressing business that you’ve been putting off? Maybe now is the time to do that project or fill out that paperwork. Go outside and do some gardening and yard work? Do stuff with friends.
Thanks @77nick77 those are a lot of good ideas. I will definitely be doing more outdoors since winter in Arizona is beautiful weather
Lots of hobbies.
Currently putting music into the SQFM library. Shopping for a truck for the new trailer I pick up next week. Planning a paddle boarding outing next Tuesday. Doing my French lesson for the evening. Finally, I am writing a blog post to go with tonight’s image I got:
The busier I am, the more stable I am.
You can get a balance between rest and activity
It some times goes too far one way or the other
But I find now to be kinder to myself
Working is very tiring and each weekend have to manage fatigue in a way that I am fit for work
Sometimes doing nothing is actually doing something, just be and relax.
