It’s a little devastating but when I try to go back to school I realize my cognitive abilities just aren’t there anymore. I end up taking a two hour bus ride out to the beach or bookstore everyday just to relax. My teacher who heard I got sick told me not to waste time and I’m just wondering if there’s any advice on how to do that.

Important to stay connected. That is hard when you’ve had psychotic break.
Take the medications is primary. Secondary is give them some time to work. I wish I didn’t go back to work straight away and had some time off…I could have done it but the pressure was there.
If your a student. You run out of time quickly so it’s good to have another plan like work but that can be complicated in this day and age!
Keep up family and friend connections. Make plans for the future…but do that at your pace…just don’t sit too long…life has a way of passing you by!

Try teaching yourself a new language! I started doing it recently. You can go at your own pace and it is very good for your brain cognitively. Duolingo is a fun little app that can help you get started though I wouldn’t recommend it solely to use for learning.

If you have cognitive problems that prevent your from studying or working, I think one of the most productive things you can do is to try to make them better. Start reading (or learn a new language, like Anna said), organize your day, make new routines, start exercising, start going out and be social, discuss things with others, solve math problems. The possibilities are endless.

Honestly I don’t think I will ever work for someone again unless I really have to.
I am almost certain I will take some course this winter if I am healthy.
If you like doing some creative work, you can take a watercolor class, knitting class, sewing class.
I was just thinking about sewing. It is a very demanded job, if I make some hand made stuff. I can even design my own textiles and have them printed. It is something I am interested in 
If you are a guy, plumbing is good very demanded job. They pay fortunes where I live. I just don’t see myself do that. 
easy good money job.
You can also do face painting for kids. It is easy great job.

Do you mean like work from home? Transcription is something that can be done from home. I did that for awhile while I was psychotic.
