He wouldn’t prescribe me anything because he doesn’t wanna mess up pdocs plans for me . Kinda mad since now I gotta wait over a month untill I get to see my pdoc again. I don’t go out at all since I have social anxiety it’s more like people phobia litteraly… sigh why must I have it so hard
Your pdoc is the right one to talk to about psych meds. Call him/her and try to get an earlier appointment or see if there are cancellations or even an emergency one
I just want relief from social anxiety so I can go to wellness center once a week to get out of the house more and be more social
They called from the physician place to my pdocs to see if they could move my appointment up
Try something herbal… paging @naturallycured
You really need an antipsychotic first and foremost. It’s the kind of thing I’d go to an emergency room for, need a script to carry you over until seeing a competent psychiatrist.
When you’re well and stable, then I’d recommend bringing up Amyloban 3399 with him, to see if he has any objections. There’s a thread about it here:
It doesn’t sound like your primary care physician won’t prescribe you anything,
Just not benzos.
You know doctors, including your pdoc, can tell when you’re drug seeking.
I don’t know what to tell you, that you don’t already know.
Try to move up the date, or see about changing meds. I don’t know if meds will help with social anxiety. I didn’t really feel much of a difference when on an anxiety med, but it turned out to help with akathesia. In any case your solution is going to take some time. Try to be realistic about the timeline and don’t blame others. This is just a crappy situation you’re in, and you’re going to be able to get through it by either being positive, or by increasing your own suffering.
In the mean time try connecting with people online, and talking. It can help with your need to be social.
My family dr would never prescribe anything unless my pdoc told him to. I wouldn’t trust him to make the best judgment re meds.
