Prescription error

My dr prescribed me Leucovorin to treat nausea from a chemo type of drug I’m on.

The bottle has 90 pills and says take one per day.

Turns out, I’m only supposed to take it once per week the day after my other med!

A nurse left me a message Monday about the med and I told her the directions on my bottle were different than her instructions. It took until just a few minutes ago for me to hear back from my dr!

It was an honest mistake, but I think the response to medication questions should be faster.

I just had that happen with a GERD pill that gastro prescribed me as well. Label said 1 per day on intitial bottle. Said 2 per day on second prescription. Gastro said one per day when I called them and my primary said it was 2 per day.

I have no idea wtf is going on. Totally confused. Where am I ? Who are you?

What a mistake!!

That’s such a long time to hear back too.

I’m glad you are very knowledgeable and caught the error. Some people wouldn’t have! Scary!

Can you try a different dr?

Or are you otherwise happy with your dr? @LilyoftheValley

I’m happy with my dr @anon90992146 . But I’m noticing his staff isn’t always on top of things. I just need to be diligent in getting my facts from the dr during appointments so I better know what to expect.

Glad to hear the dr is good @LilyoftheValley

I am just so happy that you are such a smart, savvy, and knowledgeable person! You can definitely be diligent during your appointments.

I wonder if making notes during the appointment on your phone or on a notepad would help? I’ve done this during appointments so I don’t forget. :slightly_smiling_face:
