I’m a chocoholic. I have chocolate in some form most every day. I once heard there’s an antidepressant chemical in it. Hershey’s chocolate bars taste just like they always did - that’s homogeneous! Unfortunately, Hershey’s dark chocolate is horrible.

I’m not sure if I heard it here or elsewhere, but there was a story I read recently about chocolates containing toxins in them. I think it was heavy metals which can accumulate in the body and cause permanent damage.
Not trying to ruin something you love for you. Just felt compelled to pass along this knowledge. Maybe they are ok in moderation, but I wouldn’t be eating them excessively if I were you.
I wish I would have known this when I was younger myself. I ate a lot of chocolate when I was younger.
I plan on avoiding them for the most part now since I know. I eat very little anyway now because I am diabetic.
Just looking around to verify what I read and it seems that dark chocolate is the worst of them. Sometimes containing Lead and Cadmium.

Never been a fan of the dark chocolate myself, I like milk chocolate!
had hot fudge sundaes the other day…loved it…don’t take away my chocolate !! I hardly ever eat it.

It’s a free country. You can eat whatever you want. Just wanted to pass along the risks of eating in excess.
You are free to eat it five times a day if you want to risk it.
P.S. Some chocolates and brands of chocolates appeared to be worse than others, but this is research I will leave to you.

Interesting factoid, I was watching a Hulu show called the Food that Built America, and it had Milton Hershey in it. It said when they stumbled upon the recipe for Hershey’s milk chocolate that the guy testing it wanted to try again due to some “sour notes” but Milton upon tasting it actually liked it and insisted they keep it the way it was. So apparently it has “sour notes” which personally I’ve never noticed.
