We have family coming in town, so my dad’s smoking some ribs with the raspberry beer and Maplewood chips, and we’re having pinto beans soaked overnight with ham hock, and some kind of potato

Was a large cod and chips for ÂŁ9.50. I added the curry sauce.

On the Chips. Its a Uk “bisto” brand - like gravy granules you would mix - except its curry granules. They charge £2 quid for a small pot - when i got a jar of the stuff for £1.20.

It’s got spices including black pepper and is cooked in a cast iron skillet before being finished in the oven.
