I don’t know about vegan but maybe vegetarian. Id definitely like to eat less meat.
Thanks for voting everyone!
I was vegan for about five years but had iron deficiency despite taking double recommended dose of vegan iron supplements.
I now eat meat about once a week or so and I eat egg and cheese etc.
My iron levels are back to normal.
I don’t eat pig meat.
Pig meat is soooooo delicious but I’ve seen them stunned is gas chambers before getting slaughtered and they scream terrified and in agony for minutes trying to escape.
Apparently the gas burns them inside.
It’s incredibly cruel.
I just think the other animals slaughter isn’t quite as cruel with exceptions of octopuses, lobster , crab.
I want to be as cruelty free as possible but meat seems to be nourishing.
I pray for the animals sometimes.
Apparently old lions can no longer hunt and starve to death often eaten alive by hyenas .
Suffering in the world so cruel anc horrific.
Shambahala is I heard a place of perfection and pretty much no suffering anc cruelty anc happy spiritual nngreat.
It’s just CO2 and it does not burn them inside.
Carnivore all the way. In fact, I’d prefer to eat only vegetarians. Also, I wholeheartedly support vegetable rights.
Nice to see you @shutterbug
If they are not burned inside then I’m happy to hear that but they are very terrified and scream a lot n try to escape.
A vegan documentary said the gas burns them.
They tend to blow things out of proportion. They also scream a lot when they aren’t being gassed, but they didn’t show that I bet. Pigs don’t like being moved to a strange location and they let you know.
@shutterbug - What’s your favorite type of meat to eat? Mine is this lemon chicken I get from the chinese restaurant close to me.
Medium rare roast beef. I like it either as a roast or a steak. I’m also very partial to BBQ pork.
Delicious

I’d like to not eat meat cause lately when im eating it i start thinking about how im eating ground up muscle. But idk how healthy it would be if i stopped eating meat and stuff cause i eat bad as it is so maybe someday
I’ve never gone vegan. A few times I’ve bought quite a few vegetarian foods to try. It’s not been a pleasant experience, taste wise. Loads of food ended up being thrown out.
I’d like to be able to eat healthily without feeling miserable as I do so. The thought of reaching some advanced age due to being a culinary masochist ; that doesn’t appeal to me at all.
I try and try, without milk products i can go easily, fish also, but crabs and good corned beef, from time to time an egg…
edit: i’ll take a Vitamin B complex supplement today, i will look if it helps because of need for corned beef…
I was vegetarian for a while, but my health declined in this period. It got better when I started eating meat again.
Not eating meat causes nutritional issues. There are things like taurine, vitamin B12 and choline to mention some, that are very hard to get if you don’t eat meat. You almost have to be a nutritional expert to venture into being vegan if you want to stay healthy.
Also there is genetics at play. People will cope differently with not eating meat. Some may be sucsessful with it, but others could get very sick. Our ancestors ate meat and our bodies are kind of made for getting the nutrition meat offers.
I don’t see myself trying vegan when I couldn’t even make it as vegetarian.
I don’t think it’s wrong to eat meat, but I’m a firm believer in animal wellfare and support it when I buy animal products if I can. Like buying eggs from free moving chickens.
I was lacto vegetarian age 17 for one year. I could eat dairy products but no meat. I don’t think I’d be vegan because you can’t eat cheese and eggs but I might go lacto vegetarian again but probably not . I only eat chicken and turkey no red meat
I could do without meat.
I would feel truly miserable without dairy or eggs though.
So vegan isn’t an option for me.
Vegetarian or pescatarian, yeah. Might even be a good idea, combined with more physical activity.
I had a vegan meal today and it was very nice, i haven’t eaten any meat or dairy today, it was made in the kitchen at my charity and it was very nice vegan sausages/veg and homegrown potatoes from our allotment.
I would totally eat a meat substitute if it was good enough, the vegan chicken is awesome too, tastes better than normal chicken.
Works, feeling less need for meat, i’m taking the pure B complex supplement, not very cheap but they are good for me because of the metafolin in it, better absorbing than the cheaper B supplements.
You can’t get proper nutrients from vegan diet. We have evolved for variations in our diet.
I was lacto ovo vegetarian for ~22 years of my life. Mostly lacto vegetarian.
Know what else they don’t show? That pigs are omnivores and nasty opportunistic predators.
