Not me. I submitted my resignation and was virtually “walked out” of my current employer this morning, so I have no job until Dec 9th. Hahhhhhhh.

Found a better paying job elsewhere. More flexibility and I get to level up my skills. I was in a rut with my old employer so I think it is better for both of us if I move on and they can fill my role with someone more motivated.

I haven’t worked since 2009. I started working since I was 18 years old. I got sick at 22 years old. I’m 35 now. I tried volunteering once and only lasted like 2 weeks. I was on a very low dose of risperdal. My dad kind of forced me to volunteer or get a job or do something. I think it’s a sign of remission or recovery if one can work. I feel psychologically burned out sometimes.
I don’t think I’ll ever have a job with much responsibility. I don’t really hear voices, but have inserted or unwanted thoughts. I’m sure the caffeine worsens it. A lot of them are repetitive and irrational. They’re like voices. I don’t really hear sounds or noise that often.
They cause delusions and anxiety.
A lot of folks feel like they have to work or they might end up homeless. A lot of folks don’t have support.
I haven’t worked since I was 20 years old. It sucks.
I only worked 7 months full-time after my first psychosis. I tried to work twice part-time but that didn’t work out after 6 and 3 weeks.
I have volunteered in 2 locations for about a year though.
Enjoying the retired life style these days.

Need to get Vlad the Impala in for service today as he is telling me my tire pressure is wonky on all tires and it’s fine when I checked. Very annoying. Then I will walk around town looking for photo opportunities.

No, but I miss working ever since my disability was granted. I’m planning to get back to volunteering in the future.
