I live alone in a house but I was at my best and most happier when I was in supported housing. There I had my own flat and they had daytime staff inside the building during the day to check on you and downstairs in the communal area anytime you needed them.
Also got to know and made friends with the other people who lived there. I was really happy there. Living independently now for me is very very hard. I’ve been at it 18 months now.

From family luckily. I lost all my friends. What about you do you have any support from friends/family?

My mum as the rest of my family live a couple of hours away. Apart from that I have the mental health team. I lost contact with friends too. But I am attending groups and voluntary work.

That’s good about the voluntary work. It’s good to have distractions. Do your family visit you often? I nearly moved out of my home town but I couldn’t afford to live anywhere else as it’s much cheaper where I am.

Living with parents on a disability pension. It helps to split the bills three ways and we lead a decent lifestyle. I owe my parents a lot financially and it helps them out that that is the right thing to do. It’s a small house but the cat and I live a rich and realized life!

i’ve been living on my own for about 5.5 years now, i was 1 year in my first place, 1.5yrs in supported accommodation and now i’ve been 3 years in my current flat, i hope i can meet someone and get a bigger place but its ideal for me now,
it was hard at first but luckily i had lots of support, my gf at the time helped me a lot,

I spend weekends at my mums house but only get to see the rest of my family on special occasions like Christmas or if we can go over. When I am driving myself soon I will visit them more often as I have the time because I am not working.

I love with my husband and kid in our own apartment. I want sure where I fit in, so I chose 2.
I live at home with my parents I wish I was a better kid though.
I live alone in a housing association flat . I get a lot of support from my stepdaughter and granddaughters though. When I didn’t have that support I lived in a mess.
