I had a lot of delusions over my years since sz. Some I believed in more emphatically than others.
Hmm?.
Delusion?.

Hi, I remember you being very well informed about your illness. Do you experience double book keeping?
@NotSeksoEmpirico double bookkeeping does not have much to do with doubt or degree of conviction - that’s what makes it interesting to begin with.
It depends on the delusion.
That’s true, and I’ve seen other people make that mistake before on the forum. But the awareness of double bookkeeping sustained over a long period of time - in fact, chronic in my case - leads to a self-presentation which is hard to distinguish from psychosis with insight. But yes, they are definitely not the same thing.
I’m not sure what you mean by double bookkeeping. You mean one version I tell some people and another version I tell other people?

Zero Insight when I go completely nuts.
Sounds tough. The trollish posts I write here is as bad as it gets for me.
Just my first episode which was very long. It had a brief gap of reality in it but then it continued when I was discharged from hospital, unmedicated.
Hopefully I won’t ever get hundred percent conviction delusions or voices again.
OK, I have that occasionally. I alternate between different “orientations” as Bleuler put it (see the quotes as part of the page you linked to).

what they later said were delusions i believed in very strongly… and i prob would do it again if i went off the meds.
100% yes and I get scared and fear for my life sometimes because of them.
O M G the double bookkeeping is sooooo me. I didn’t know there was a term to discribe it. Of course, the discrepancies do bother me though. is that part important? The part about the discrepancies? Or is the more important part that you believe in 2 or in my case 3 realities??
