“undercover” is my favorite rolling stones album right now…just finished listening to it and now listening to “steel wheels” a late 80’s album by them. they are so funny to me and I love to hear Jagger joke around.
How you dare… Exile, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers.
Never understood the attraction. Liked Ruby Tuesday but haven’t had a top ten hit since the 60’s. Thought the talent left with Jones but each to their own.
@rogueone oh contraire mon frere…Brian Jones wasn’t much musically a part of the rolling stones…and he was cruel to his girlfriends I read. hurt them cruel.
@dreamer54 those albums are solid gold too…I love all the stones work , even there stuff these days…but I just prefer the eighties albums.
Yeah fair cop. I’m just not sure they musically advanced much in following years. Toured the heck out of it and survived on reputation for sure.
the rolling stones just keep going and going…I was born the year that they became a group so I am as old as the age of the rolling stones…61 years…haha
For me they’ve done the occasional good song every now and then. Those, for me, primarily being songs in the 1960s.Outside of their 1960’s material ‘Angie’, ‘Fool to cry’, and ‘Wild horses’ are quite good songs.
