I get a depot too. I get mine in the buttock - but pretty high on the cheek. I don’t have to pull down my pants etc.
I think I have some very slight scarring from the many injections - apparently this is too be expected. But I love my depot - keeps me sane.
I prefer the arm. I don’t have scars from my injections.
Do you know how many millilitres you get injected? I get 0.6ml so not that much really.
I don’t know, I have to go buy it in a few hours, I’ll tell you then.

My depot vial is 100mg depixol per ml. I get 60mg so 0.6ml 
I have always had depots in the buttocks.Alternate cheek per fortnight. Not sure how many millilitres but I’m on 25mg Consta.
I’ve never been offered an injection anywhere else just the upper buttock
I take it in the forehead, that way the goodies go directly to my brain! 
upper arm for real, the first one I think it must be in the buttock, so my doc said to me, but as I had already taken one while hospitalized, against my will, everything went smoother with the new medication (invega) and I didn’t had to show my butt to the nurse.
What about the Vastus lateralis muscle of the thigh?

Its the meaty outside of your thigh. Thats where I was taught to give injections. In school they don’t teach the buttock anymore

I m doing my depot injection(invega sustenna) to my upperarm with no problem at all
I use to get Clopixol depot injections every second week in the buttock. Then they changed it to the muscle in my upper leg. It was much better in the leg.
Got my depot today real high on the buttock. Was pretty much my lower back.
