We had several hundred deaths in our county and things were locked down for a long time. I got really sick at the beginning of March but never got tested. I wear a mask always when I am out and always wash my hands as soon as I get home. I carry a paper towel with me to touch door handles and elevator buttons.
At the peak of the outbreak we were getting groceries with instacart and hardly ever went out. We have been to some restaurants in the past couple months but it still is a bit surreal.
My 97 year old dad has been mostly confined to his room since the end of February. Fortunately his retirement home didn’t have any cases yet but there were quite a few nursing homes around here that had lots of deaths.
There is a hospital that they refitted to be a dedicated COVID hospital and it is probably not that risky but I try to avoid driving by it.
Very seriously. I don’t want to lose a loved one or be the next to go, have a lot of living yet to do!
I want a GD vaccine. I refuse to die on the last month this thing is a threat.
I worry about my mom’s trips to the grocery store. I wish we were rich enough to have everything delivered.
If your dad is 97 you must have some really good genes. Half of the people in my family get Alzheimer’s in their 70s
I’m an ex smoker and dad is copd. We are toast if we get it for sure so I’m being pretty careful whilst trying to live a life…that is the thing…it’s about risk management.
