Man idk you might have to specicify what socialize means. I go i to public, restraunts, stores, etc often. But i never speak a word to anyone I just try and not make eye contact ever.

Whenever I have a face to face conversation with someone I walk away thinking that they are going to harm me in some way. So I only hang out with family. Heck at one time I thought my mom was working for an organization that was trying to harm me.

Like once per month. The holiday season used to be fun, but now it just stresses me out. Too much socializing, too much money being thrown around, too much energy needed to seem normal…

I love Halloween, my birthday in November, and Hubby’s birthday in January. But with everything else added on top, it’s just overwhelming and exhausting.

Everything else: My brother’s birthday in November, my MIL’s birthday in December, Thanksgiving in November (American), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day. And family wants to go to see Christmas lights, my side and Hubby’s side separate. And my dad has a company Christmas party, every December.

It’s too much!

If I weren’t disabled, mentally and physically, maybe this would all be just fine. But it drains me. My brain breaks after so much of this. Like, super foggy, can’t focus on anything. I can hardly form sentences, when trying to talk, after coming home from this stuff. And I have to lay in bed to recover, physically.

I put one a day because I usually have groups Monday through Friday. And I drop my dog off at family’s while I go. So I see them as well. But I do enjoy my alone time. Just my dog and I living the high life together. Lol.

It depends. On mood. Energy levels. How stable I am. What situation requires. Sometimes I will be feeling like crap but have to go out to get work done.

When in good mood I don’t want to return home. Stay out chatting up with others.

I like to socialize with people I know well already. But I hate socializing with strangers.

I socialise with my husband every day. I wish I could see my parents every week but they live three hours away so I only see them about twice a year :frowning: my family I hardly see, my friends rarely and my in laws I don’t enjoy being around so much.

Other than that I don’t socialise . I do get lonely sometimes, I message my mom and sister every week and come on here. Most of my socialising is virtual.
