do you have drug related tinnitus.if so since when
I don’t know if its drug related or not. But I do have it. I’ve had it for over 10 years.
yes i do also have.for me its drug related.i have over 8 years.i didn t have any serious consequences so far
Oops voted yes before I realized the drug induced part… I have tinnitus been having it for as long as I can remember
Had it when smoking crack. Its cos your BP goes sky high.
Dont worry - i havent touched it in years lol.
I got mine from a blood pressure med and it’s permanent.
I have some ringing in the ears, but I’m not sure if it’s damadge. I think it’s normal to have a little noise in the ears even if they are perfectly healthy, no?
i have some noisyness but not exactly like ringing.i read that its sign of damage to cochlea but i m hear since 8 years and nothing is worsened so far
Yeah, I have had sound in my ears as long as I can remember. Maybe ringing is the wrong word. More like some high pitch background noise.
i just went to the hospital and they tested my ears.doctor said there is no sign for “ear poisoning” ototoxia .and he said if its happen it must be happen by now.my ears are ok.i said to him i m using this drug since 8 years and i have some form of tinnitus since the beginning of use this drug and he said its not related to ototoxicity @Bowens @anon82948922 @chaetsunami @Naarai @TheLogician
I wouldnt even worry about it then. I just consider mine a minor annoyance that creeps in from time to time. I’ve never even brought it up to my doc.
Maybe if it gets worse or something, bring it up again.
Ive had it for about 6 months, I don’t know if the psych meds are causing it ![]()
which meds are you using ?
Paliperidone and lurasidone, buproprion anf Fluvoxamine.
paliperidone related tinnitus is harmless and not related to ototoxia but if you experience tinnitus from Fluvoxamine it might be ototoxia and i don t know what would be the prognosis.you should talk with your doctors about this
@Natron please consider i m not a doctor and your tinnitus probably not important thing but its better to ask for this issue to your pdoc in next therapy session.probably its harmless
