Hi,
exactly a year ago, during having the second psychotic episode ear ringing started which doctors read it as tinnitus.
Anyone experiencing the same, any ideas would be appreciated.

My husband has tinnitus. He sleeps with a fan on to drown out the ringing. I believe there is a medication you can take if you have a severe case.

Drugs can’t cure tinnitus, but in some cases they may help reduce the severity of symptoms or complications. Possible medications include:
- Tricyclic antidepressants, such as amitriptyline and nortriptyline , have been used with some success. However, these medications are generally used for only severe tinnitus, as they can cause troublesome side effects, including dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation and heart problems.
- Alprazolam (Niravam, Xanax) may help reduce tinnitus symptoms, but side effects can include drowsiness and nausea. It can also become habit-forming.

I am in the same boat as you. My ear ringing started when I started taking lexapro. It has probably been almost 2 years now that this has been happening.

Something weird, is that my ear ringing started after the beings said they were gonna escape my head. I had only heard it rarely before that, then all the time. Now that I’m on geodon it doesn’t happen very often, though it’s happening right now. Weird.
