Marijuana makes me psychotic and violent. Its even worse than being off meds. It caused paranoia, hallucinations tactile-olfactory etc Most of the time after smoking marijuana I end up attacking my brother, punching walls and doors, etc

Well it is not all bad…

“On the other end of the spectrum, researchers indicated that people with schizophrenia or other psychoses and a history of marijuana use may perform better on cognitive learning and memory tasks.”

Veed.

What a thing.

If you predisposed, you fuggad,

If not, you can smoke 1098 bongs a day and be fine !

Is that a joke? Memory loss is a well known side effect of THC weed:

THC causes temporary side effects, such as:

  • increased heart rate
  • coordination problems
  • dry mouth
  • red eyes
  • slower reaction times
  • memory loss
  • anxiety

Medical marijuana is reducing my fathers chronic back and leg pain.
He doesn’t have a psychotic disorder.

Although some psychotic patients tolerate marijuana fine.

But overall it can increase psychotic symptoms with schizophrenia.

If you are willing to accept the premise of the article then you have to also accept what else it says. The quote comes from the article.

All heavy weed smokers I have known in my life have memory problems like losing their keys, their stuff etc They’re also slow mentally.

Its not an accurate article then as all reliable sources online say THC causes memory problems.

I was smoking 3-6 grams a day at Uni and still got my degree. I was no slower than any other student.

Well all the ppl smoking weed heavily I knew never made it to university lol

I have lost mores friends to weed than alcohol, and i have been hospitalized with a lot of cannabis psychoses.

By the way - it ruins your lungs, because you inhale very deep and end up with lung cancer or other pulmonary disease.

If you take medical cannabis - don’t smoke. Use it as oil.

It can rob you of your ambition, motivation and will power, I agree. It can also serve the purpose of hiding trauma in your mind, trauma you don’t even realise you had.

The fact is that the correlation between those who have been traumatised are more likely to smoke, and the possibility that cannabis causes sz are likely to be highly in favour to the traumatised. The traumatised are more likely to get sz. It is correlation not causation.

If you dont have that predisposed gene you can smoken a million bongs a day.

Ive got friends who should be fried and living in a home considering how many drugs they take but they are fine.

I, like myself, cant even smoke a bong anymore without the worse delusions of reference !

How can someone, take a 1000 papers of acid and be mentally fine, but one person takes it once, and its tickets.

Drugs are still bad but they are even worse for those with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia.

Obviously !

Yes, but you are not addressing the cause of drug taking. You are talking about the symptom.

Trauma initiates it.

Just throwing it in there,

I also got my degree high off my ass and unmedicated.

People do it all the time.

I have a nurse friend going to school to become a NP,

She smokes everyday too.
