While I was untreated for schizophrenia I failed in my college courses? So need some advice, has anybody Succeeded at college with negative symptoms
Yes,
I got my degree with positive and negative symptoms,
Unmedicated.
I didn’t make good grades and I had to major in English,
But I did it.

Well I would say try and work a job first and see how you do instead of blowing a bunch of money on college and flunking out
How did you do it? Any advice
My college is free ride with stipend paid for living here at Indian Statistical Institute but I am afraid if I fail they will never let me in again.

Oh I see well maybe give them a call and see what they say regarding failed courses and if they would let you continue also you could also try part time and see how you do
You just have to push yourself hard and make small, attainable goals,
Everyday.
My best advice would be to go for an easy major.
Some people like to ask for accommodations,
@Ninjastar might be able to inform you of what kind you can get.
Some people get extended deadlines for projects, more time for testing, etc…

There is no option of doing part time in Indian colleges… Indian education system is very rigid in that sense.Not as open as American ones or European ones

Hey. I got a doctor’s note for special accomodations for my classes. I have extended time on tests, preferred seating in the front row, recorded lectures, note taking assistance, alternate test location (I get to take my exams in a quiet room alone), and extensions on surprise assignments.

I’m in the US. I’ve been to 3 colleges so far
In India we have minimum attendance requirement to appear for exam… This is what led me to discontinue in first place… It was endless torture as I could never fulfill that… At least now in prospective new college I don’t have that

Hmm yes I’d go to college ASAP if I were you! I can’t handle stress like I used to! when I was 26 I was doing well in college! But I didn’t finish and now at 33 I’m totally burnt out from negatives!

On Abilify I finished my bachelor/major in kinesiology, 3yrs 6 semesters, but didnt have the grades to specialize in physiotherapy, was short by about 10% in some core courses.
I didn’t mean it I was joking. I’m burnt out I cant
College is way too stressful. I can take one or two classes only. I am trying to quit smoking so I’m not looking for work becuase work is a big trigger.
