Piano lessons

So i had a lesson tonight and it was really good, the tutor showed me a few things and i got a good book to go through, i’m just getting use to the keys and notes, very basic but good fun, i think once i learn to read the music and know where to put my fingers then i will be able to have some fun

i have 2 audiences i could play for, my church and my clubhouse  if i am good enough at it i guess i could get a certificate and do it professionally

there is a place near me where this guy was working in a cafe and he had learning difficulties but they had an old piano and the guy practiced on his own (self taught) at lunch time and he got so good at it that they got a better piano and featured him at lunch time playing for the customers which drew people in, i’ve heard him play and he is good. idk if he gets paid extra for playing the piano though

Music is good for you. But there is unusual competition and jealousy among musicians. Take it from one who knows. :slightly_smiling_face:

Your library might subscribe to lynda. They have tutorials you can practice on the piano.

whats lynda?

my library isn’t as busy as i’d like it to be, we are a small community and it can be hard to read with mental problems, music is more fun than a book for me tbh and a lot more simple i think

@PinCushion i’m not the type, i do like competition though
