They will text from the other room for a glass of milk or to make a plate of nachos etc. I gladly do it. They are awesome kids. They help me out with other things. They are growing up fine and are well loved by their teachers and bosses. They are definitely not self centered. People can think what they want. I know I’m a good loving mom.

I think there’s a balance there. I mean if they’re overall good kids I think it’s fine.

People get so judgy over parents, especially moms. Your kids all sound lovely. If you want to bring them snacks sometimes, who cares? Apparently some jerks do, but nobody who matters. Adults do this all the time. Mr. Star and I will text each other to bring food when we’re feeling tired or when we’re engrossed in what we’re doing. It doesn’t mean anything about our levels of personal responsibility. It means we trust and love each other and want to help each other out.

My daughter was diagnosed with adhd as a kid. I remember she had roller skates in her shoes. We went to the store and she skated all over that store. One man in particular gave me dirty looks. Another unruly brown child! I tried hard with my daughter.
