People not wearing masks

Two people in a row came into the UPS store the other day without wearing masks. The first guy was angry when a staff member said he couldn’t come in without one. He started yelling about it but then went back to his car and got a mask and came back in.

Then I picked up a pizza last night and all the people working had their noses exposed and some even pulled their masks down to talk.

Man I can’t wait until I get that vaccine.

The tow truck driver cam towards us without a mask and my neighbor came to talk with me without a mask on.

People don’t get it.

I started doubling up with a mask and one of these. I don’t think the neck gaiter is sufficient on its own but with the mask it offers extra protection—or at least I hope!

People wear masks around there but they don’t cover their noses. I counted 5 people in the aquarium store the other day that didn’t have their noses covered. I let the owned have it for not enforcing it and walked out.

Good for you.

The UPS store was very strict about it. I was glad.

Obviously the pizza place couldn’t care less.

But even in Target I see people walk in with their masks but then use them as chin straps while in the aisles shopping. I always think of saying something to a staff member but never do.

I’m a very bold person and I’m not afraid to tell people off. I do it all the time. Someone comes near me without their face covered I let em have it. No ones ever said anything back. If they’re gonna put my health in jeopardy I’m not keeping my mouth shut.

I used to think they were blowing this ■■■■ out of proportion until my ex mother in law died from it. I didn’t even get to say goodbye to her

I don’t like riding the bus system here. There’s no way you can distance yourself six feet. I think it’s gross. I think I’m gonna bike around for a while. If I bus I run that risk.

Some scientists claimed the masks don’t help in reducing infections. Go figure!

I’m so sorry @Loke.

Yes, I’ve known people who have gotten very sick, people my own age.

One who has lasting damage to her lungs and another who still has not regained their sense of taste and smell.

They both got very, very ill.

I’m sorry @Loke :frowning: my fiance dad died of complications from covid…

I remember my mom wouldn’t let me out of the house at first because she had no clue how I would react in my (at the time) fragile state of mind… Once I showed improvement (months later) she started letting me out… The freak out my mom expected never came although things are so very different now and to be honest I am a little scared but I’m okay

No clue why I included the rest but there it is

My fiance’s dad not him himself

Yeah my big mouth gets me in trouble though. It’s nothing my fists can’t back up but in the workplace I’ve gotten in trouble for running my mouth. I tend to piss people off a lot.

Because of the higher transmissability of some newer covid variants, medical experts are starting to recommend doubling up on masks or, better yet, wearing higher filtration masks (N95 or KN95 or FFP2) when going inside where there are a lot of people (e.g., grocery shopping, doctors office, mass transit, etc.). For example, Germany now requires FFP2 masks in those instances.

I have recently switched to wearing higher filtration masks when going inside where there are a lot of people (e.g., grocery shopping). I have purchased both N95 and KN95 masks for this purpose.

If I’m outside, I wear my fabric masks.

Amish people don’t wear masks and there are a lot of them in this area. I didn’t wear one to the garage when we went to drop my car off. I hate wearing it. Gives me massive anxiety. I wear it out though almost always. Just feel like I didn’t need it at the garage

Same here, but I live in Canada and our government screwed it so badly that they’re now trying to raid shipments to developing countries to placate voters. Realistically, the way things are going, I don’t think I’m seeing a jab until 2022.
