She said it was because of bad side effects and she didn’t know what else to put me on? I’m getting really paranoid . I think she did it just to see what happens and how crazy i go. Or maybe she was unsure about my diagnosis? Im not doing well. Hallucinating constantly now And i dont see her until the end of October and im so confused as to why she’s done this. Im having super bad tactile hallucinations and suicidal thoughts and im so upset with her i dont want to call or go back . At the end of my rope and so frustrated now and scared of how bad things are gonna get
If it gets too bad go to the ER.
Will i have the insight to do that though? I didnt before
That is awful! You can always go to the hospital, or call her office and ask for an emergency appointment. You shouldn’t ahve to go without meds.
I never did either but warn your close friends and family.
I will thanks thats a good idea
So are you on no medication now?
Im too scared to leave the house at the moment , maybe when things calm down
No she took me off everything two weeks ago and i thought id be fine but i am not
That’s unsafe you should see her soon if you having symptoms.
Can you tell her that you want to go back on them ?
i do suggest a crisis call to the hospital. you should talk to your doctor about it… (just thinking ->) was it because your medications were very low that she want to try stopping it totally? just guessing though, please don’t take this in mind… do hope you well. keep “fighting” .
It sounds like now is the time to go to the hospital, then. While you still have insight. If you still don’t want to, some things I do to calm down are:
Put an ice pack on the back of your head. This will cool down your brain and reduce activity in your limbic system, where emotions happen.
Do a task with simple, clear steps. I like baking. I follow the recipe, and it’s easy enough that I don’t get frustrated, but it requires enough concentration that I don’t have room to think about other things. Cleaning also helps.
Engage your five senses. This will remind you what is real and what isn’t. Listen to soothing music. Smell something pleasant, like an essential oil. Suck on a hard candy. Look at pictures of things you enjoy. Feel something with an interesting texture, like a piece of Velcro or a stress ball.
Try to levitate something with your mind. You obviously won’t succeed, but it gets you to focus all of your attention on a single point outside your body, instead of on your thoughts. I like to use this on airplanes or in public places, because it doesn’t require you to move at all. It looks like you’re just daydreaming to observers.
you can engage with us here for now, though, but I highly recommend a crisis call up to your hospital for immediate attending.
She doesn’t know what to put me on i think she thought the meds were making me worse in some ways . I dunno. I’ll try calling her
I recommend you suggesting them to put you to a senior consultant doctor. I think will be better. as medication-wise, its the doctor job.
I think calling her and getting an emergency appointment is the best idea. If she can’t get you in go to the hospital. You shouldn’t have to suffer like that. I’d also recommend finding a new pdoc since this one admittedly doesn’t know how to help you. Find one with good ratings
Find a new psychiatrist.
No doctor should strip a psychotic patient off of their meds.
This is extremely unprofessional and negligent of her.
I agree that it is time to move on to a new doc meanwhile go to hospital now before things spin out of your control. I am sorry this is happening to you!
Thanks everyone. I got an earlier appointment with her and in the meantime renewed my klonopin so im calm and doing okay now, coping better
