My pdoc called me this morning and allowed me to go back to perphenazine. Latuda wasn’t for me. So I’ll be tapering down latuda. Have y’all had to change back to a previous med before? I feel more calm

@roxanna I’m so glad you feel more calm. I have had to switch from quetiapine back to olanzapine. Olanzapine works much better for my brain.
I hope this med change for you back to your original medication will be very helpful for you. It’s a good sign so far I’d say!

I was first put on risperidone but it made my negative symptoms worse so dr switched me to Abilify. After 8yrs on the Abilify I switched to Latuda due to addictions. I was on Olanzapine for a year but was psychotic on it all the time. Then I went back to risperidone. The most effective for me was risperidone followed by Abilify followed by Latuda.

I hope so too. I’ve been through a lot of meds.Perphenazine helped the best. I hope your meds help you.
