Next pdoc appointment is 2 months away. Feel I need a dramatic change in some form

My symptoms are well controlled but man am I under a chemical kosh. At first this was a welcome relief from the psychosis but now it is killing me.

I constantly tired, fat, unfocused and hungry. I look super stoned in every photo.

To this extent I had to change the facial recognition setting on my phone because it constant thought my eyes were closed, whereas it was just my droopy seroquel stare

Think I am gonna ask to change to abilify. Never been on a partial agonist that I can remember.

My med induced stupor is letting life pass me by

Are you considering changing meds?

I wouldn’t call you a DD. IT is possible to get on medicines that work for you without severe side effects.

I had this problem too a few times.

Thing to be aware of is it may take 1 attempt, or a few different ones - as I am sure you know, to find the one that helps best

Swore by Amisulpride, but the ECG was not good after being on that for a prolonged period.

If you get the doctor on side and work closely together, hopefully you can work this out for the better

Sorry you’re going through this @Jimbob

That are a lot of different meds!

I prefer sticking to one AP and one AD. But different pdocs have different views on that.

Do you feel depressed?

No don’t feel depressed at all. The AD was for anxiety. I think I am on too many meds

Does your pdoc listen to you?

Maybe you can have an honest conversation about it. And else, try to find someone new.

Yeah he listens. I think he is reticent to change the status quo because I have a history of treatment resistant sz. Even on 800mg clozapine plus 1200mg amisulpride I was pretty florid

This current regime helps more than any previous regimes. But it is at a pretty huge cost

I really didn’t like clozapine and I even wasn’t on that high a dose.

Whatever you decide together to do. I hope you can further improve.
