Pdoc lead med reduction: honeymoon over?

My pdoc took me off my depot and changed it to the oral version instead. The oral dose I have is a fair bit less in equivalence.

In addition they halved my quetiapine (seroquel) as they were worried about heart stuff.

I was really worried when I found out the quetiapine was getting halved. It s a difficult med to come off.

But to my delight life was great for 2 months! I was less sedated, more in the moment and things just seemed richer.

Anyway this last two weeks I have been feeling a bit ‘desperate’ for want of a better word.

Things are harder. I feel undermedicated if that makes sense.

I really don’t want to up my meds though. I am gonna leave it 4 weeks then I will see where the land lies

I came off 800mg of qutiapine cold turkey a few years back.

It didn’t go well and I ended up on a depot.

Taking them like clockwork. I think maybe the depot it was in my system still for like 4-6 weeks.

Now it’s not and I think I need to increase my dose

Thanks buddy 15151515

That’s excellent news.

That sounds logical and reasonable. The injection could stay around in your system for ages.

Sounds like your body still needs to adjust especially your mind..

Things have been feeling a bit better these last 2 days. My friend said seroquel withdrawals can last months so it is likely that
