Payees, how does that work?

I’m considering getting a payee. For at least a year or so. Does anybody do this, or know how it works? I don’t have a case manager.

Thanks, all. I’m really struggling with deep depression and hallucinations this morning.

My dad is my payee

But he’s not my conservator.

I’m not sure what it means or the difference

So he pays your bills and gives you money that’s left over for food, etc?

He has all rights to my disability check and he covers the rest of my expenses.

He takes $500 for rent and lets me keep the rest.

I think I get more money because he’s my payee too. Because he paid into social security a lot in his life…

I think I’m going to call 211 and see if they have more info. I need help.
