When I look at certain patterns they move around as if I were on acid. Curtains look like they’re moving too. Do you get that with certain patterns? Yes I take my medicine everyday and I took it last night. I don’t take it in the morning.
Never was on acid, but when I was a teenager in my pdoc office, I hallucinated an actual window with curtains and pink splashes. I told him and he just kept talking
Lol. That’s pretty funny that he just kept talking. He didn’t know what to say.
I saw patterns when younger. Just the mind on meds. I hope it will pass and stop for you. It s like our focus of eyes is having hard time.

That could happen when you feel sedated or dizzy or even some vertigo. Happens to me when I lay in bed too long and get up real quick. Also if I eat too fast, or smoke too many cigarettes.
yes I see certain patterns move. I think that’s normal, just an optical illusion. Or crap maybe it’s a hallucination, I don’t know now. Next time it happens I’m gonna check it out.
Yes, I get this. I didn’t have it before my psychosis, so it’s not normal, but it’s just an illusion, not a hallucination.
I get this all the time with walls or ceilings, tiles, anything shifts and morphs like it’s breathing. Does it make you feel dizzy? It’s definitely not the worst symptom I’ve had
@Catch22 It does make me dizzy if I keep looking at it.
I’m glad it’s just considered an illusion.
I wonder what causes it. Always figure it’s like misfiring in the brain kind of
@Catch22 I’m not sure. @anon9798425 says it’s just an illusion and not a hallucination.
It’s an illusion because its source is an actual external visual stimulus. Hallucinations occur without external stimuli.
I’m well-medicated, usually don’t hallucinate at all any longer, and still have illusions. So I think they’re not as indicative of psychosis as hallucinations.
Wait. So the light shows that I saw on the walls were just illusions? What is the external stimulus that causes this?
Well if there was no external stimulus, it was a hallucination. But if the edges of things move and twist, that’s an illusion because the edges were there to begin with, and your mind just twisted them a little.
Okay, so the light shows would be a hallucination, but people’s faces looking strange an distorted is an illusion. Is that it?
Yes, that sounds about right. But if their faces become something else entirely, it would probably be a hallucination. And I’m sure the lines can get pretty blurry at some point.
what does 151515 mean?
You have to write at least 15 characters in a post so if the post is shorter people will type 1515 until they have enough characters. Some people type other letters, symbols and numbers.
