Parkinson from AP?

Since a few months my hands and fingers shake sometimes like when holding my phone, then I drop my phone. Is that Parkinson? I am on 5mg Risperidone, was on 6mg before. I read that Risperidone is the atypical AP that blocks the most dopamine, only Haldol blocks slightly more dopamine than it. Does Parkinson treatment worsen psychosis like levodopa?

I think @Newlyborn got Parkinson symptoms from AP?

I also lost lots of muscle strength. I feel very weak.

I sometimes get shaky hands as well. Usually when I am doing something labor intensive with hands though. Doesn’t happen just when holding phone. Better inform pdoc.

Thanks, on Abilify I only experienced this when lifting heavy weights at the gym. I really think its the risperidone as it blocks much more dopamine than Abilify. I will let my family Dr know this June apt after my blood test.

When I was on Lithium I would shake a lot. Wonder if it’s similar?

It could be parkinson related.

I mean the meds reduce our dopamine activity.

And parkinson is caused by reduced dopamine activity. I think??
