Today I went to the park and had a smoke

Do you know which park is the one with the super aggressive squirrels? I want to say Mont-Royal, but I can’t remember. Anyway, I really enjoyed them.
that squirrel is jacked. whos his personal trainer, schwartznegger?
They will come right up to you and demand food. If you walk away, they chase after you and yell at you. It’s wild.
these are beautiful pictures, I envy a place like this because I don’t have one… not within walking distance, that is
A city squirrel once bit my finger. It wouldn’t leave me alone. I was eating a peanut butter cookie. It was waiting for me to offer it some of my cookie, but I was like heck no, this is a good cookie–it’s all for me. After I finished eating it, it walked up to my shoe and stood up on its little hind legs. I found it amusing so I lowered my hand down to see how close I could get. It sniffed my finger and then bit it with its tiny, sharp, little razor teeth. I screamed and cursed. Even cats don’t bite that hard!
I was at a community college outside the library and nobody understood why I screamed and chased a squirrel up a tree.
Demonic! I was bitten by a hedgehog once, I bet it’s similar. The teeth just sank straight down, I needed antibiotics.
I just thought it was the funniest thing to be chased by this herd of angry squirrels at the park. I didn’t have any food for them but they weren’t buying it.
@Hedgehog bit you?? but why? hahaha just joking
I have never seen a living hedgehog but they look aggressive, like buff squirrels. Yikes!
Hedgehogs r so cute
Had one at the nature center
Adorable
Almost as cute as the chinchilla
She was my boyfriend’s pet, a pygmy hedgehog. She was walking on my leg and lost her balance, I tried to steady her but she didn’t care for sudden movements Rodent teeth are nothing to mess with.
Watch out for @Hedgehog, she’s surprising!
Chinchilla feet are the most wonderful things. So warm and grippy
Niece and beautiful…
Is it a shark in a first picture…???
So beautiful
I must speak for hedgehogs everywhere and say 1: they are not rodents. You can tell by the teeth. And 2: You must have been withholding food
Those are beautiful images alright. Thanks for sharing.
You’re right, it’s even worse! Hedgehogs have fangs!

We had two. Mine was athletic and snuggly and I don’t think I ever saw her roll up. His was more skittish and defensive, always frightened, really not cut out to be a pet. She changed the way I felt about the wisdom of exotic pets.
I said elsewhere that my cat Puck feared nothing, but that’s not entirely true. Liza got out of her cage one night and went exploring, we found her hopping and hissing between Puck and his food dish. He was definitely nonplussed.
Omg, that’s a great picture!!! Adorable, but not to be messed with! I wanted to get one for my son when he was little, but they’re illegal in California. So, even though they sold hedgehog food and cages at Petsmart, I’m a rule-follower…I’m kind of glad we didn’t get one. We had budgies instead.
