Paranoid about carbon monoxide

I have 2 carbon monoxide detectors upstairs but I think there both older then 5 years so they won’t work. Does Carbon monoxide raise or sink? What causes it? I’m paranoid about going to sleep, carbon monoxide comes and the detectors don’t work and then I die

Carbon monoxide sinks. If you are worried buy a new detector. I need to buy a new one. Mine wouldn’t stop beeping so I took out the batteries.

You mean smoke detectors? They last much more than 5 years, they have a radioactive battery, I unplugged mine and saw the radioactivity sign on it saying do not remove the battery.

Smoke detectors and Carbon Monoxide detectors are not the same thing. Although they do have combo smoke and co2 detectors. And I have no idea what you mean about the radioactive battery. My smoke detectors just have the little square ones.

@Sunlit - I know I need to buy a new one. Money is tight though.

I will probably head to Walmart or Canadian tire tomorrow and buy a new one.

We don’t even have any carbon monoxide detectors I don’t like that.
