I’ve only have three left. I ordered a new meter and test strips, and it’s supposed to be delivered Saturday. It’s a more expensive one that’s supposed to be accurate. I’m just going to have to make do tomorrow.
Please go back on your diabetes meds @anon54988740 .
I’ve got a PCP appointment Wednesday. We are going to talk about it.
This is the Baptist Health doctor I was seeing before the clinic closed last fall. I thought he was only going to take Medicare Advantage plans in 2021, but at the new clinic he’s still taking Original Medicare.
Look into something like the “Freestyle Libre”. No more strips and you can take your blood sugar as often as you want.
It’s a little censor you put on your arm and it stays there for 2 weeks, then you hold your meter up to it as often as you want and it tells your your blood sugar level
Thanks Headspark.
No problem. I should say it has a little needle on the censor that sticks in your arm, the rest of the censor is like a sticker to hold it in place, it is virtually painless and is good for 2 weeks. Doesn’t hurt while it is on. So its like 1 little prick every 2 weeks, much better than pricking your finger every time you want to take your blood sugar. It also has a phone app so you can track your blood sugar and show your doctor, just hold your phone up against the censor on your arm. it’s pretty cool.
