She says it sounds more like bipolar even though I don’t connect with anyone bipolar at those groups. I had an increase in meds’ as she says I’m mildly up and the lack of concentration is from there.

My abilify is going to be 10mg up from 5mg that I’m currently taking. I’m also on tegretol. 600mg. She thinks it’s less schizoaffective and more of a mood disorder.

tegretol is a tough med to take, are you just starting it?
I’ve been on it two years. I think I’m used to it now. Just the increase in Abilify I hate.
when I took it it made me so sleepy, but I was on a higher dose to get to therapeutic level. I think I was taking 900 all at night. I had to have at least 8 hours of sleep or my whole day was messed up. That was a problem for me because I often don’t get 8 hours of sleep. But I did notice one thing, my head was very quiet when I took tegretol, really too quiet, it felt lonely in a way. I guess I was used to all the noise in my head lol. I’m glad it works for you, it’s strong medicine right?

It was worse in the beginning as I wanted to sleep in the afternoon but I’m getting better

i have had several different diagnoses. i went from borderline personality disorder with psychotic NOS, then schizophrenia and now finally schizoaffective disorder with ptsd
i hope you feel this diagnosis suits you . you are allowed to disagree
