Our Best Achievements Page

I thought it would be nice to have a place that we could talk about our best achievements so far, it can be a one off thing that happened in the past or an up to date thing that is ongoing, some members are regular achievers, what stands out for you? a good thing that you have done that you felt you really excelled yourself in!

I’ll go first.

I’m really pleased as to how the last 2 issues of our clubhouse magazine have been made, i have a lot of input and enjoy working on it, i edited 7 whole pages last month and touched it up more here and there,

This months edition has just been released and we have done even better, I edited 8 whole pages with 4 thrown in last minute and it really made the difference, i love working on it, there is 24 pages and i did 8 of them, its all using canva,

In this issue I had my poem and a page about when i went to the park with pictures, another page of other stuff i’ve been doing, i had 2 pages on the radio shows, a fun page where members add the next line, a colouring in page and a contributors page thanking every one.

Things like this really help my mental wellbeing. (still had to pop a diazepam today though.

I made these hand pies:

They’re ugly, and almost inedible due to not enough sugar,

But I made them.

That’s an achievement.

My best achievement was graduating high school as an Ontario Scholar (A average) and being accepted into the University of Toronto for Biology.

U of T is Canada’s top university. Some people will argue with that, but on most lists it’s always #1.

Unfortunately I went crazy and had to drop out of university, I never got my degree, that’s my biggest regret/failure.

Well done, i was not a big achiever at school so i always like to hear stories of people who have had a good time at school and really excelled,

It is a pity you got unwell though but these things can be unavoidable sometimes, i got unwell at 15 in 3rd year of secondary school and i always wished i’d done better at school.

I finished organic chemistry in college with 96%, got 99% in the final. I finished Calculus in college with 96%. My teachers wanted me to teach other students for money and to participate in math competitions where I could win 10 000$ but I refused as its additional material to study.

I got approved for SSDI twice now. All my jobs were high paying. I was expecting to be told to go and try flipping burgers for a living.

I did that in high school. Didn’t really like it.

“Kinesiology is the scientific study of human body movement. Kinesiology addresses physiological, anatomical, biomechanical, and neuropsychological principles and mechanisms of movement.”

One can work in training athletes (Athletic Therapy specialization), work in Rehab with elderlies or in hospitals reconditioning patients after surgery or injury (Clinical Exercise Physiologist). Or the the 3rd specialization is Physiotherapy. A specialization is one year extra, a Master. I didn’t have the grades to do a Master as it requires a 3.4 GPA in all core courses. I finished the 3yrs bach with 3.05 GPA.

  1. I wrote the lyrics and the music to a song for my mother that someone said makes me an “amazing songwriter.” She likes the song a lot. So do other people.

  2. I bought a house (as a first time home buyer) with seemingly perfect timing (in a span of of over 25 years of adulthood) to take advantage of inflation.

  3. I multiplied my invested money in the stock market by a factor of about 8 last year.

It’s hard for me to choose between those 3, I guess.

I bought a few bitcoins back when it was 200$-250$ while psychotic. I lost my password as my memory really sucks when I am psychotic.

Never invest money while you’re in psychosis is my advice lol

I got a job for the first time in 8 years. I get 25 an hour and work 6 hours a week. I get to keep receiving my disability because the amount earned doesn’t exceed the limit. I’m very very proud of myself, I never thought I’d work again in any capacity.

I should get more hours when school starts again, but summer is the tutoring center’s slow season.
