Other causes of psychosis

K. I’ll take that my bad. I’ll edit my reply so others don’t think you’ve been misbehaving.

That’s okay, I think whether or not the perception was real I was misbehaving by being attacking in my original posts. I thought initially that sometimes it is okay to be upset and express how you feel (which it is) but I think you are correct in saying it’s not good to be reactive. Being reactive is a result of me having Social Threat Bias within myself to feel that others are against me and acting in was which is according. I think I’m maybe I’m little stressed and also burnt out from trying to help people.

I got upset because when SlowMotional replied to my comment and they implied that someone couldn’t have SCZ and ASD, which I do. Having stated that I’m ASD in posts before and being SlowMotional most replied I felt that they speaking to my diganoses and were invalidity my identity. Also my perception was that in replying to me saying “that person who claims he/she” they were actually speaking to me. I’m not sure whether that’s actually the case or not but that was what I perceived from my perspective at that point in time. The principle of parsimony would at least make that a decent leap to be correct.

I’m sorry for saying the things I shouldn’t have reacted in that way. Regardless at to the meant intentions I shouldn’t have been attacking and I should have come from a place of care so I apologise @SlowMotional

High(abnormal) levels of stress over a long period of time. That’s how my first psychosis started.

Constant harassment, Physical malformation in body untreated for long time, Loss of loved ones, Fights within house, substance abuse are all I can think of that impacted my psychosis.

No, I was referring to @firemonkey I didn’t know you had ASD.

Makes sense, sorry bro

I saw a study that said something like 20% of people with schizophrenia can also be diagnosed with hypocondria. It makes sense to me.

Hey peeps. Glad you worked it out. we are all passionate about recovery so please be kind to each other. We don’t have to agree on everything moving forward.

I will also apologise because I thought some of that was directed at me. I have to read a lot and often have time constraints. Context is easy to lose

Be kind to each other and good to move forward.

Daily cannabis as a teenager. All that ‘paranoia’ from cannabis was actually a type of psychosis. They never taught us that though. Psychosis is everywhere, it’s much more common than anyone talks about. A perfectly healthy person can go psychotic by just not sleeping enough, or by taking a high dosage of certain drugs.

Poor breathing, lung and cardiovascular problems contribute.

@BioHack yes reading up on Microbiome health book. I didn’t know about Vitamin D deficency.

Yea it was a fascinating read though I admit I didn’t finish it. :open_book:

Wheat Belly is really good. His follow up book “Super Gut” is also very good. My favorite is “Dirty Genes” By Dr Ben Lynch. You can also look at: “The Mind-Gut Connection” by Emeran Mayer and “Healthy Gut, Healthy You” By Michael Rusico,
