Online reaction time tests An autistic interest

This is a simple one that automatically averages how quick you after 5 attempts. You get slower with age. I think this is fairly good for a 67 year old. But need some results from younger folk to compare it with.

I got .23, not sure if that’s good or bad.

How old are you?

27 years old. 15151

It’s far nearer to good than bad,I would say.

Yes, visual reaction time is indeed affected by the time of day. Research indicates that our reaction times tend to be slower during the late night and early morning hours. This is largely due to our circadian rhythms, which influence various cognitive functions, including reaction time12.

For instance, studies have shown that reaction times are typically at their lowest in the early morning, around the time when people are usually the most tired1. Conversely, reaction times tend to improve and peak in the late afternoon and early evening12.

Do you find your reaction times vary throughout the day?

I consistently get .6 on my phone :selfie:

When the button actually presses I get around .5 but two times I got 3+ when it doesn’t

A lot slower than my football days. I may have had the slowest yet.

Are y’all using phone or laptop

It wouldn’t work on my phone, idk, may try it on a laptop. Really curious about autism to be honest

Ideally laptop or desktop. Definitely not a mobile.

I like doing these, but I’ve yet to find one that isn’t flawed in some way. I can go from good for my age one day to a lot more crap the next day. Firefox = 0.2834 Chrome = 0.3144 Edge = 0.3356 . Browser makes a difference . As does lag? and I think refresh rate( don’t quote me!)

On the other hand.

And you’re in your 40s? If so that’s quite good. I 'd say the reaction time standard deviation of 24.555 is even better. An overall good result.

Feeling like your internal voices are responding negatively can be distressing. A constructive response might involve acknowledging your feelings without judgment and then seeking ways to address them. You could try:

  1. Grounding Techniques: Engage in activities that help you stay present, such as deep breathing, mindfulness, or physical exercise.
  2. Reality Check: Remind yourself that internal voices may not always reflect reality or your true self-worth.
  3. Seek Support: Talk to a mental health professional who can provide strategies to manage and understand these experiences.
  4. Self-Care: Practice self-compassion and engage in activities that you enjoy or find relaxing.

Addressing these feelings with a supportive approach can help you manage the distress and work towards a more positive mindset.
