**it`s more like the way she used it—politically incorrect or just ignorant. **
I don’t like “schizo” or “schizing out.” Those two annoy the hell out of me.
Like she doesn’t see you quite as a person, but some thing distanced, that she can study.
I HATE the term “schizing out”. My old teacher always said that when her technology wasnt working. And she worked at a mental health facility
well, you all have heard my take on the “ic” suffix before- there are schizophrenics and people who have schizophrenia. To be an “ic” means you are controlled by it. To “have schizophrenia” means that you have it under control.
I sometimes let the “ic” word slip out of carelessness.
Don’t get me started on “schizo” or “psycho” or “looney” or “nutcase”.
Yeah it’s just a word. It never really bothered me.
I can understand that sometimes words hurt more than actions. But as you know that context matters a lot in almost all cases. So if the person’s intentions were not to offend you or degrade you then don’t feel upset. I would say just don’t take any stress on the matter and tell her in a friendly way that some people may get offended by the word.
