Years ago, whenever I would go into a grocery store to buy drinks, I would never grab the first one at the front because I thought someone opened it and poisoned it. I would reach towards the back and grab one of the farther ones, thinking that one wouldn’t be poisoned.
No, but when I was psychotic in hospital, I did think most of the drinks in the vending machine had been poisoned and I had been given special powers to pick out the one that wasn’t. I was incredibly ill then.
I thought the water supply was poisoned with cocaine and an intricate system that was high tech knew when I would use the faucet or bath giving me cocaine water. I would even get abnormal heart beats and feel sick. Now thats psychosomatic. The power of the mind.
Did you actually thought that the soda cans in the front were poisoned or were you afraid that because of their easy access that they could be tampered with?
Till this day I am very careful selecting drinks or food products on store shelves.
I choose drinks from the back of the shelf too.
This is not delusional, it’s a precautionary measure that I take.
But I do admit that it’s OCD related @TheCanuk
I thought the food supply was poisoned. I didn’t eat for 18 days. It was a great way to lose weight, but not a healthy way…i ended up with an IV in my arm from it.
Yes, because someone said they poisoned something but I try not to take it so seriously. It must be kind of alarming and frightening but I don’t really understand why anyone would poison something.
