On being a quiet person

Better to keep quiet and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt.

I’m generally so quiet in person that others find it unnerving. My side of the conversation is as monosyllabic as I can make it.

I have always been a quiet person

But at work my confidence has grown a great deal to be able to respond with authority to challenges etc

In general life I am a one or two word person to most people

Only a handful of people I am comfortable speaking freely with

Better to look like a fool as a young man and take risks, you’re expected at that age to be foolish, and to learn from those mistakes, and to keep experimenting with life and figuring things out as you go. Sometimes the answers come quickly sometimes they take a lifetime. Or quiet desperation.

I’m kinda average. Though I would rather sit around and talk more than just about anything else. I like talking to friends and family. Im terrible at sitting around staying silent or not engaged.

Yes if we don’t make mistakes and take risks we don’t learn right?

I’m pretty quiet until something pisses me off

Then I’m loud

Im quiet until I know and trust someone closely. Usually pretty quiet though even then. But I can go on wild tangents if someone wants to hear about something im interested in. If its one of my hyperfixations at the time haha.

I used to be quite extroverted but since psychosis I’ve been pretty reserved. I don’t like being reserved.
