I obtained my psych evaluation from my current psychiatrist.
She diagnosed me with Bipolar 1 disorder and OCD.
No mention of schizophrenia or schizoaffective anywhere.
Honestly I don’t know if I fit posting on here anymore.
Although I know I’m not the only person diagnosed with bipolar that posts here.
I don’t know what to think anymore.

Bipolar has less stigma than anything with “schiz” in the title. So that’s good news !
Yeah honestly bipolar was always there with most of my doctors.
My last psychiatrist diagnosed me with bipolar then switched over to schizoaffective yeah there’s less stigma, that’s true.

A diagnosis is just a snapshot in time. If you see 5 psychiatrists you’ll get 7 diagnoses.
