Sounds like you are in to the law of attraction.
Abraham hicks on YouTube teaches this as does Aaron doughty and several others.
I am not that in to it at the moment but have read a bit about it.

This was actually one of my most dreaded symptoms during my last psychosis, you could just name any random emotion at any time and I would immediately feel it strongly regardless of circumstances. It was horrible. I want my emotions to match my will and that means I want to feel happy when I’m happy, sad when I’m sad, angry when I’m angry. I don’t want to create that much separation between me and my emotions. If they aren’t resonating with me I’m just making my emotions become empty shells whose only purpose is to be pleasant. I don’t need my emotions to be pleasant. I need them to not hinder my desired behaviour but promote it while remaining true to my actual opinions and ideals. Even if the law of attraction were real, which I don’t think it is, I would want nothing to do with it, it disgusts me.
